Because sugar, in large stick form, is sometimes a girl’s best friend…

Took some portraits of a young woman this week (for her project, which I will talk more about later) They all came out, but the ones  from my vintage Konica were moody, evocative & just what I love. Film & 1.4 F lenses.  I am never again leaving home without them. May you walk in … Continue reading

‘Dreaming Hazel Dooney’ The show I participated in last month, Dreaming Hazel Dooney (via long distance) was a  success. Here are some of the lovely details: Above is a picture of the framed piece at the show in the  Latrobe Contemporary Gallery with artist Hazel Dooney. Yes it is tiny. I generally abhor thinly matted … Continue reading

I originally took this self portrait one year ago. It took me a little while to get the guts to post it. Although I’m getting more comfortable with myself, and this project- sometimes it just takes time  to really see the work, and to get clarity about certain images. The more I look at this … Continue reading

Went for a run today. Got bit by a small, unfriendly dog. Earlier I found this hat at the local thrift store, and thank god, because  If I end up needing rabies shots, I’m wearing this to the doctors!

Low res-scan of a negative from a shoot I did today in my living room. Tutu made from vintage toole, leftover from a salvaged wedding dress.Camera was vintage Konica & lens with available window light. Developed film via non-toxic homemade c0ncoction.

To be honest, I am not interested in the quality of these images at all. These are not final prints. This is not … Continue reading

Typical day with pain. Life narrows some. Its all about getting rest. And dealing with symptoms. Getting to and from medical appointments. The feeling of exhaustion. Medication side effects. Which all feels like a 80 hour/week job, that I can’t quit and don’t get paid for. I push forward as much as I can, lusting … Continue reading

Its been a bit quiet here lately. I’ve not been much up to speaking. About life, art, or anything. I’ve been unable to engage daily on Twitter, Tumblr, Skype,  Facebook, or this blog. Not to old friends, or new ones. For many reasons I am not thinking about selling, marketing or promoting anything. I am … Continue reading
