Gonna change my diet Will try raw veggis & juices for a while. Nuts, seed, vegetables. Good, only  raw, wholesome food. Maybe re-learn to harvest from the wild.  Drastic, perhaps?  But not any more so than withering away like I am now on the  long  term plan of pain meds and nerve destroying  procedures medical … Continue reading

Cherry Blossoms are quick to bloom, and even quicker to disappear. Unless I have been misinformed,  cherry trees in Japan are held in the highest regard. Hanami is an annual organized viewing of the blossoms, originally created for the public to ponder the short, transient nature of life. The cherry blossom was also important to … Continue reading

Simple things are beautiful. My life right now is about discovering simplicity. Elimination of all but the effective. I’ve got limited financial means and physical resources. I’m trying hard to maximize what is nearby. Had just enough energy for a few evening walks in the vacant field by my house this week. The soft pattern … Continue reading

I was trying to do something that had nothing to do with anything (is this even artistically possible?) and I ended up creating a few paintings with ink. While it was an interesting practice, even this simple technique (forcing breath through a … Continue reading

An Americorps representative on the campus had 40 photos from the “Portraits of Disconnection” collection enlarged, laminated and placed along the walkways of the college this week, as part of … Continue reading

Dear Ai Weiwei, I’m planting a sunflower in my garden for every day you are gone. I hope you return home safely, and are reunited with your wife and son. I hope you  can continue your  career, without being  placed under house arrest (or made to disappear ) as  punishment for your outspokenness.  I am  … Continue reading
