“Down the Drain” Self Portrait #193 (counting down from #365)

 

I had a breakdown in the tub this week.

You know, the kind where you are sobbing about the adventurous life of swimming with dolphins, and working in the ocean, and SCUBA diving in the Channel Islands, and traveling up and down the West Coast of the United States you had when you were 21,young, and happy & strong & had tons of energy and few health problems & a fairly fabulous income & lots of confidence and really really loved your life before you got sick & how 43 feels old & exhausting and those dolphins seems like some fucking dream. After a bit I looked up and thought, damn, that is one sick cool reflection in the silver metal plate.

I’d better stop sniveling and shoot it.
