Still Dreaming

Print from the lab awaits framing for the show, 2011

Photo prints from the lab arrive this week carefully wrapped.

Framing art work requires an amazing amount of energy, patience &  cost. I believe Thoughtful finishing is important. It must be completed on time. Making the final selection often takes longer than the piece took to make.  I have at times made my own frames by hand, in order to create just the right look for a collection.

This week I received photo prints  from the lab for an upcoming show (Dreaming Hazel Dooney) Today I visited a local framer & new owner of Bohemia Gallery in Ashland, on a mission to find just the right design to house this small nude piece in. The choices are a bit overwhelming for my migraine addled brain. Its also important to remain within my modest budget. For simplicity sake, I  may stay with a sleek, classic wood/creamy matte combo.  However, I am dreaming of something modern and a wee bit different.

Photo prints arrive from the lab, awaiting inspection.
